PET yarn is a durable, eco-friendly fibre made from recycled plastic bottles. It’s spun into a soft yet strong yarn that resists moisture, fading, and wear - making it ideal for outdoor rugs with lasting performance.

For maximum longevity, place your rug in covered or sheltered areas. While PET yarn is durable, prolonged exposure to moisture or humidity - especially under heavy furniture, can lead to mildew. Likewise, extended periods in direct sunlight may cause colours to fade over time.

During rainy or humid weather, bring your rug indoors to prevent saturation and reduce the risk of mould or mildew. If it does get wet, hang it undercover or in the sun once the weather clears. Ensure the rug is completely dry before returning it outdoors.

Outdoor rugs are easy to maintain with a simple shake or a light vacuum. When vacuuming, use suction only - do not use a turbo brush head, as it may cause matting of the fibres. For water-based stains, clean with warm soapy water. Treat oil-based marks promptly with a suitable textile cleaner. Dab gently to lift the stain and blot dry. Avoid rubbing, as this can cause fluffing.

Keep your outdoor rug looking its best with a simple seasonal refresh. Lay your rug on a slight incline - driveways work perfectly, wet the rug, then gently wash with warm, soapy water. Thoroughly rinse with a garden hose. For stubborn marks, apply a solution of textile detergent and warm water, working it gently into the fibres with a wet cloth. Avoid over-scrubbing or brushing, as this may cause fluffing.

Store your rug for winter by rolling it with the top side out. When unrolled next season, the curl will naturally face downwards (to avoid becoming a trip hazard) and flatten naturally within the day.
