From there, we sketched ideas, experimented with linework and pile heights, tested colour combinations, and refined the details until the design felt balanced and complete.
Samples arrived, some were close to what we wanted, others not quite. We compared, adjusted, and refined until two colourways emerged as the strongest contenders for production.
With the trend toward saturated hues, we embraced two bold pairings: burgundy with pink, and chocolate with powder blue.
Once orders were placed, our artisan makers set to work. 100% New Zealand wool was dyed to our custom palette, the design hand-tufted, then carefully shorn.
As the final touch, each piece was meticulously finished with scissors to reveal the contrasting colour detail beneath.
The Marlow emerged - sculptural, bold, and deeply tactile.
The Marlow is best paired with understated, single-toned cushions. These create a balanced, cohesive look that complement the rug without competing with its design.
