Snug Club

By Alessandra Smith

RESIDENTIAL

Snug Club is a 23-square-metre studio apartment in Fitzroy, imagined as something entirely distinct from the client's primary residence. Not a guest room. Not a spare. A dedicated space for mood, pleasure, and occasion.

Designed around the idea of a “snug”, the interior feels intimate and enveloping, drawing on the spirit of a club defined by ease rather than exclusivity. A sunken conversation pit anchors the plan, shifting between lounge, daybed and informal dining via a removable centre ottoman. Rich materiality and layered colour create atmosphere throughout. Carefully resolved and deeply expressive, Snug Club prioritises feeling over convention, making room for pleasure, connection and lingering a little longer.
